This package includes the WHY of the funeral workbook, both posters (Why We Have Had Funerals Since the Beginning of Time and Honoring, Remembering, Healing), and a packet of 100 Why We Have Had Funerals brochures.
Train your staff to better represent the necessity of having a meaningful funeral in the mourning process. Place the posters in your arrangment rooms to educate the families you serve about the importance of a meaningful funeral. Send your families home with a tri-fold brochure on why we have funerals so they can process the information at their own pace.
Open Your Community’s Eyes to WHY We Need Funerals
A 3-Day Training Experience for Funeral Directors, Celebrants, and Grief Care Providers
February 3-5, 2015 –Scottsdale, AZ
June 23-25, 2015 — Fort Collins, CO
In this 3-day seminar, respected author and educator Dr. Alan Wolfelt will explore the reality that NOW, as no time before in history, people are questioning the need for funerals.
This training will help you…
• articulate WHY funerals are essential.
• understand why the funeral’s ceremonial elements, from visitation and music to readings and action combine to create a “sweet spot” of experience for family and friends.
• interface six essential functions of the funeral with the elements of ceremony.
• learn how to convey value every step of the way in the planning process.
• easily overcome a multitude of common objections.
• arrange funerals as a “facilitator,” not a “functionary.”
• care for yourself as you create meaningful funeral experiences.
• safeguard the very future of funerals by helping families make transformations—“decisions that are good for them.”
We invite you to be part of this revolutionary training experience with funeral service innovator Dr. Alan Wolfelt. During your three days in Colorado with him and other participants from across the continent, you will explore the importance of why we have funerals and, most importantly, learn how to articulate the “whys” easily to the families you serve and to your community at large.
Tuition for this seminar is $995. Tuition includes the WHY of the funeral training package (one manual, one each of the WHY and element posters, as well as a pack of the WHY brochures), breakfast on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday as well as lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday. Because space is limited, a non-refundable $300 deposit is required to confirm your registration. The tuition balance of $695 is due December 23, 2014 for the February offering and May 12, 2015 for the June offering.
