EARN YOUR DEATH AND GRIEF CERTIFICATE

Bereavement caregivers who complete five Center for Loss courses (150 hours) are now eligible for an accredited certification in Death and Grief Studies. What an affirming way to be recognized for your ongoing commitment to bereavement care!

CSU's Division of Educational Outreach, located here in Fort Collins, administers and grants Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for each course. As you may know, CEUs are designed to measure participation in learning experiences other than academic courses. As such, these units do not satisfy any requirements toward a degree, but they do provide a permanent record for professional training and enrichment activities. One CEU represents 10 hours of instruction; our 4-day seminars are worth 3 CEUs each.

To enroll in the Death and Grief Studies Certification program, you must apply and pay for CEUs for each course as you take the course. You many not enroll in the program retroactively. CSU's CEU fee per seminar is $50. (Thus, completed certification will cost $250 above and beyond other course costs such as tuition.)

Because some of this information on CEUs and the Death and Grief Studies Certificate is confusing, we invite you to call us at (970) 226-6050 for clarification. But most of all we invite you to learn with Dr. Wolfelt and work toward being honored with a Death and Grief Studies Certificate!

Comprehensive Bereavement Skills Training is the first course in the Death and Grief Studies Certificate sequence. With few exceptions, participants must complete this essential prerequisite course before taking other courses. If you are planning to earn your Death and Grief Studies Certificate, we urge you to register for Comprehensive Bereavement Skills training right away!
